Ancient Turks in Hussein Nihal Atsız’s Novel “The Grey Wolves”. Second article: the Novel “Revival of the Grey Wolves”

Abstract

The “Bozkurts” (The Grey Wolves) novelhas a special place in the work of Husein Nihal At-siz. One of them is called “Death of the Grey Wolves”, and the other in called “Revival of the Grey Wolves”. They complement each other in terms of the relevance of their ideas and content.Both novels aktually reflect the history of ancient Turks.
The author had to go deeper into history to do this. In other words, the fight of the Turks against the Chinese and the Oguzes forms the basis of the novel “The Grey Wolves”.
