Abstract

The tradition of illustrating historical works written in prose or verse directly by an eyewit-ness of a campaign or orally transmitted by participants began in the first half of 16th. The accounts like “Selim-name” of Shukri 1524, “Suleyman-name” of Logman, “Huner-name”, “Shah-name-yi Selim-khan” are the best examples of this genre.
