Abstract

Investigation of the ancient metallurgy plays an important role in the identifying historical chronology of the archaeological ages and cultures. As a result of researches of the ancient metallurgy sphere transitional stage from stone age to the era of metal – Chalcolithic period and chronological order of the development phases of the bronze age were identified. Historically, Azerbaijan included point of intersection of the ancient cultures. Archaeological researches of the recent years prove that people, which lived in this area, had been close relations with ancient cultural centre's of the Western Asia. Investigations confirm that metal items and conditions that they found play vital roles in the reconstruction of the intra-tribal social relations in historical stages. On the other hand, researches verify that tribes, which began using metal products began to develop more dynamically and social inequality increased inside this tribes.
