Theoretical foundations of morphonology as levels of the language system

Abstract

Although the linguistic system consists of different levels, the article looks at the relationship between them. In addition to the phonological explanation of grammatical changes and showing the deep roots of the relationship between these two levels of the language, the attitudes of various linguists to phonology and morphology are reflected here. In reviewing the history of the term morphonology, the great Russian linguist N.S.Trubetskoy was specially mentioned.
