Globalization and its impact on modern language systems

Abstract

The article deals with globalization and its impact on modern language systems. It is noted that, as in many fields, it left  its mark in linguistics as well. It is as a result that the danger of their extinction increases significantly for most of the modern languages. The processes of acquisition and disappearance of languages, the reduction of the territory of some languages and the expansion of others have been characteristic of almost all stages of human development since the first languages appeared. This is a natural and inevitable process.
