The role of neologisms in the formation of nuclear energy terms in the Azerbaijan language

Abstract

The article discusses the phenomenon of neologization as one of the sources of filling and formation of nuclear energy terminology. The number of term-neologisms, in principle, cannot be large, they arise when there is a need to give a lexical designation to a new event or process in the language. The article lists the eight most popular neologisms in modern nuclear energy and provides explanations of their origins. The article states that even the analysis of given terminological neologisms shows that semantic, morphological and syntactic mechanisms traditional for the special technical vocabulary of the English language are used in their formation. It can be concluded that despite the relatively small number of terminological neologisms, their importance in the terminological system is very high, because the main directions of scientific and technical development are lexically stabilized in them.
