Microtoponyms are used in a narrow framework and are known to the population living in a certain area. Some terms play an important role when naming geographical objects. Various geographical terms are used during the nomination process of microtoponymic units. In the Karabakh region, the population is mostly engaged in agriculture and cattle breeding. The nomadic population takes their animals to pastures in the summer and to the wintering grounds in the winter. Therefore, in their speech, terms related to agricultural activities are often used. Geographical object names in the system of microtoponyms also play a key role in agricultural activity. They use geographical terms of different composition (pen, garden, home, winter, pasture, melon, bed, carving, mill, reserve, etc.) to graze animals in the pasture, that is, to take them to the pasture, to keep them in the stable. Since ancient times, these terms reflecting the thinking and outlook of our people have been used in macro and micro toponyms. As a result, place-names related to new economic activities were formed. In microtoponymy, these onims related to agricultural activity are of great importance and mostly appear in connection with the nomadic lifestyle of the population.
