On the problems of terminological abbreviation in the modern linguistic system

Abstract

         The role of abbreviations in the development of the terminological layer of language as a method of conscious word formation is great. However, it is important to maintain constant philological and professional oversight of terminology, as it requires conventionality and high information. Thus, lexical-semantic clay, which has a modern and variable lexical structure, is constantly evolving in parallel with the changes in science and technology, economics and political conditions, and is often very old.

         Among the requirements of the terminological system, one of the main problems that attract attention is related to the elimination of excessive, unnecessary fluidity in the language, excessive signification, and thus, expressing a lot of information with few words, shortening the phonetic or grammatical structure of terms. All of these refer to the creativity of the term in the terminological system of the language with the method of abbreviation.
