Problems of linguistic culture on Agamusa Akhundov's researches

Abstract

The article tells about Agamusa Akhundov, a full member of the Azerbaijan AS, who defended our language in his scientific and pedagogical activities in 1952-2002. In his multidisciplinary and multidirectional, theoretical research, a special place is given to practical issues of linguistics. A. Akhundov, who has been carefully studying the processes of our language from the first periods of his scientific activity, always taking into account every phenomenon in the field of language construction and language culture, internal and external factors of the language and expressing his attitude towards them, criticizes the negative trends that cause violation of language norms, with one of our linguists takes a consistent and principled stand. One of the reasons why A. Akhundov's opinions about the culture of the language and about our language as a whole are more reliable is that he is a prominent specialist in the field of phonetics.
