Phraseological unit as a linguistic phenomenon

Abstract

This article examines phraseological unit as a linguistic phenomenon. Phraseology is a complex linguistic phenomenon and the subject of study of such sciences as lexicology, stylistics, history of language, logic and regional studies. Phraseological units are linguistic units in content and form, constitute the lexical wealth of the language and are a communicative means with linguistic and sociolinguistic features.
