In the Azerbaijani language, both the potential of complex words and the methods of their formation are diverse and wide. Some of the complex words are formed without suffixes, based on the method of approach, while others are formed with the participation of suffixes. Some of the complex words formed with the participation of imagers are led by word-correcting suffixes, and in others by modifying suffixes.Modifier suffixes can also carry a derivational function in the process of word modification, as well as connecting and unifying words and constituents in the nominative function. Even though the formation of compound words due to communicative grammatical means took place as a universal inter-linguistic phenomenon, their function is not the same in all suffixed languages. Since the Azerbaijani language has an agglutinative structure, grammatical suffixes in this language have a serial character. Therefore, in this language, grammatical suffixes have more intensive possibilities of transition to derivation. When the grammatical suffixes, which are used as connecting elements in complex words, have a derivational function, they are already far from grammaticality. Since the derivational function of grammatical suffixes is intensive, they are used in both components of compound words. In the Azerbaijani language, with the participation of quantity and affiliation suffixes according to the same rule, inter-ethnic inter-row, inter-linguistic; river-like, moon-like, man-like, with the presence of passive and indefinite future tense suffixes; negation of the command form and the presence of indefinite future tense suffixes do not occur; Affirmation and denial of the indeterminate future will not be satiated, exile, will not fall, etc. Words are fixed.
