Summary

Onomastics of folklore is a set of special names of characters in oral folk art, as well as geographical names. The presence of special names in any genre of folklore and their special role in the organization of the folklore text is a linguistic universal. The originality of folklore onomastics and its special value for the entire complex of humanitarian sciences, on the one hand, speaks of the necessity of its study, and on the other hand, the possibility of separating this direction of onomastics of literary texts into a separate and special scientific discipline - folklore onomastics. Theoretical problems of folklore onomasita were discussed in the article. Various scientific sources were used in writing the article.
