In his verses based on folk thought, the artistic and semantic paradigms of the image of a horse are specially studied. The article expresses the relationship to the sacred values that the cult of the horse brought to the life of the people and its epic-cultural thought. A number of higher qualities arising from the natural, real nature of the horse, both in archaic and artistic thought, allow us to draw certain logical principles and scientific conclusions.

For the first time in the article, on the basis of sources published both in Azerbaijan and in Turkey, the ideas of the use of horses by Turks in everyday life, using them for various purposes, are considered. In the conclusion, the ideas and conclusions about the fundamental penetration of horse breeding in the life of the people, reflected in our toponyms – “Atyaly”, “Atbulag” and others, are summarized.
