ABOUT LAMAN VAGIFGIZI'S RESEARCH CALLED “TAMBUR PERFORMANCE AND CREATION OF HAYLAS”

Abstract

One of the musical instruments used by the turks in ancient times was the tambur. Over time, tambur, like many musical instruments, were doomed to be forgotten, and since many researchers studying this art could not produce a systematic research work, it was not possible to obtain complete information about its essence. From this point of view, Leman Vagifgizi's (Suleymanova) study entitled “Tambur performance and creation of haylas” shoul be considered one of the important works done in this direction. Because in this study, the main features of the art of tambur and hayla performance in Azerbaijan were covered in detail, and very interesting facts were presented to the readers based on the materials collected directly from the speakers.

The book contains information about the life and work of 98 tambur singers, 30 hayla singer and 20 mey singer, 43 tambur song, research on making of tambur musical instruments, the researcher tried to create an idea about the audience of tambur, tambur talks and etc.
