Abstract

One of the main features of ashig art is its poetic diversity, both in form and content. Ashig poetry genres have a fairly wide range. Epic storytelling requires both epic and lyrical artistry from the ashig. The poetic figures used by the ashig (epithet, metaphor, metonymy, anaphora, alliteration, assonance, hyperbole, litotes, antithesis, phraseological units, dialectisms, barbarians, etc.), dialectical words characteristic of locally living art, and different means of expression are among the features of poetic ashig art.

The article examines the poetic features of ashig art within the ashig tradition, based on the work of Ashig Nasib (1870-1944), a representative of the Aghbaba-Childir ashig school who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It should be noted that the ashig school to which Ashig Nasib belongs is a unique ashig school that deeply assimilates the most advanced traditions of Eastern Anatolian and Azerbaijani ashig art. Ashig Nasib is also one of the famous artists who developed this school with his creativity.
