THE CHERSHENBES AND NOVRUZ IN THE NATIONAL-SPIRITUAL VALUE SYSTEM OF THE AZERBAIJANI PEOPLE

Abstract

In the article the holiday Novruz, which has a special place in the system of national and spiritual values of the Azerbaijani people, and the ancient traditions and beliefs about it are investigated. This holiday of nature, which is based on the ancient historical roots in the general Turkic culture, is distinguished by its characteristic features both in Azerbaijan and its regions. These features have historically ensured the enrichment of Novruz with rituals, as well as its presser­vation. In the article, it is said about the existence of many signs of Novruz as a complex of ceremonies in the region of Aghdere. From the researches, it is known that traditions, rituals and beliefs with ancient historical roots are preserved in the traditional way.
