TWO NEW MODELS OF AZERBAIJANI PROVERBS AND THEIR MAIN FEATURES

Abstract

This study examines two new models of Azerbaijani proverbs and their main features. These models are: 1) proverbs "dodakdegmez" and 2) proverbs "dildonmez". Let us note that the terms "dodakdegmez proverbs" and "dildonmez proverbs" are used by us for the first time. About this the author's articles were published in well-known scientific journals of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Bashkiria and many other countries. The main feature of the "dodakdegmez proverb" is that none of the letters m, b, p, v, f, o, u, ö and ü are used in the text. The main feature of the "dildonmez proverb" is the abandonment of the consonants "l" and "r", which cause language rotation during oral activity. It is noted that a case of refusal to use any letter or several letters in the text is called "lipogram". Since the letters m, b, p, v, f, l, p, o, u, ö and ü are present in the vast majority of words in the Azerbaijani language, creating poetry or prose works of such forms is very difficult. In particular, writing "dildonmez" is more difficult, but possible. Though there are examples of "doldonmez" works in the works of Ashug Alesker, Ashug Ala, Shamil Delidag and many other classic ashug and poets. But the verses "dildonmez" in Ashug poetry are found only in the works of Ashug Alesker. In fact, this "dildonmez" is invalid. In other words, there are no poems of this form in Azerbaijani literature. In any case, it is true. It is also noted that "dildonmez" poems occur only in the works of the author of these lines. However, examples of "dodakdegmez proverbs" and "dildonmez proverbs" are numerous in Azerbaijani folklore. Undoubtedly, this shows the richness of thinking of our ancient ancestors, the beauty of their spiritual and artistic tastes, the depth of national social consciousness and psychology. In our opinion, it is very important to study their semantic nature in terms of clear understanding of the overall picture of the areal structure of Azerbaijani proverbs and sayings.
