Abstract

This article talks about Havush village weddings and various related customs.
Wedding is one of the beautiful traditions of our country. A wedding is both a promise, a wish, and a symbol of happiness, a day that parents have been waiting for and longing for for years, and it is one of the beautiful traditions related to the selection of new relatives (gudas) and raising a generation. The blessings given by our grandmothers and grandfathers are also reflected in this article. The article also contains topics such as not liking the girl, ambassadorship, sweetness (certificate, engagement, bow tie), henna, cloth mowed (cloth cooked), making wedding bread (eppeyi), stealing the groom, taking the bride away, blocking the road, etc. such customs are highlighted.
All examples of folklore are implemented in these wedding customs.
Recitation of khakhishtas, sewing of women's blankets on the night of henna, pleasant readings, khakhishtas, welcome, etc.
In today's weddings, it is worthy of applause to preserve our ancient Turkishness and to pass it on to future generations as a gift and contribution.
