Huseyn Javid's work, which has a unique place in the history of Azerbaijani literature, is also distinguished by its originality. This originality is especially manifested in the artistic and philosophical ideas of the outstanding playwright, the “devil concept” with a very deep philosophical layer of his ethical and aesthetic worlview and his work in general is related to folklore.
The ancient and deep folk thinking, which is reflected in the texts related to the devil in Azerbaijani folklore, is continued and developed with the same depth as the power of artistic and philosophical thought in H.Javid's work. The genius artist was able to explain the essence of the image of the devil, which exists in both the mythical and religious thinking of the people from the folklore texts, with great artistry and philosophy. “The devil concept” in the work of H.Javid reflects both the struggle between good and evil, light and darkness, and conflict between struggle and meekness.
Demon-human conflict in folklore, human devil paralelism, demonic situations that manifest themselves in the character of people who love fame and prestige form the main artistic-philosophical layer of the “devil concept” of the prominent playwright.
