NOVRUZ CEREMONY COMPLEX: FROM TUESDAYS TO THE HOLIDAY EVENING

Abstract

In the article the folk traditions and ceremonies from pre-Tuesdays to Novruz holiday are investigated. It is said about four pre-Tuesdays that mark four elements of creation of the world in itself. On the example of those pre-Tuesdays the birth of Novruz, a symbol of a new life, is based on the revival of four elements of creation.
It is also explained that the chaotic time is the interval of empty days among pre-Tuesdays and Novruz holiday. It is shown that this chaotic time is the liminal time interval for the transition of the world to a new cosmic order.
