ASHIQ NIFTULLA FROM DERBENT AND EPIC ACTIVITY

Abstract

Epics occupy a very important place in Azerbaijani folklore. These exam­ples still need to be written and systematized today. In the article it is said about the epic “Seydi-Peri” written from Ashiq Niftulla from Derbent. The epic “Seydi-Pe­ri” in its content is included in the list of “the epics standing on the boundaries of love and heroism”. Taking into account the fact that this version of the epic has not been studied much, its content is focused in detail, it is analyzed in com­pa­ri­son with other options. It is noted once again that every folklore example, espe­ci­al­ly epics, is of great importance in writing from narrators living in different regions.
