Despite the fact that “Myth”, as a term of Greek origin, which literally means “narration, story,” implying stories about Gods (Deities), spirits deified or associated with Gods by origin, heroes, ancestors, who acted at first, directly or indirectly participating in the creation of the world, its natural and cultural elements, is in fact “history”, as the first stage in the history of the development of society, i.e. "mythical history". Being a pattern, it is a demonstration of the inextricable connection between space and mythical thinking. The existence of a mythical image of a particular space in folklore speaks of the early history of the creators of this image in this space. Because mythology is the starting stage of human history. Thus, the myths that exist in space are mythical “impressions” of the early history of the collective that is its carrier in this space. In this regard, the dominance of mythological texts (mythical legends, narratives, fairy tales, sacred texts), quantitative abundance and richness of content in the Karabakh folklore environment indicates that Karabakh is an ancient Turkic environment, and the Azerbaijani Turks are the native and aboriginal population of this region.
