The poetic legacy of Almaz Ildirim in the context of tradition and innovation

Abstract

The article examines the work of one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijani emigrant poetry, Almaz Ildirim, in the context of tradition and innovation. Various aspects of the problem are brought into focus, in the background of examples from the early stage of the poet’s creative work. The assessment of issues of tradition and innovation in the work of Almaz Ildirim are investigated in the context of the literary process of the era as a whole.
The article expresses the attitude towards the written works about the poet’s work and refers to them within the framework of the studied problem.
