Abstract

This year is the 140th anniversary of Ali Bey Huseynzade, the thinker of ideas, concepts, literature, and ideology. Yashar Garayev, the Corresponding member of ANAS, Honored Scientist, and professor, has expressed many opinions about Ali Bey Huseynzade and has written three analytical articles about him: “Ali Bey Huseynzade’s Heritage and Heirs”, “A Turk in Four Epics of the East and Ali Bey Huseynzade” and “Ali Bey Huseynzade – Memory Connected to its Roots and Integrity.” The last article is an improved version of the previous ones. Yashar Garayev called Ali Bey Huseynzade the artist and architect of national self-awareness and the independence movement among all Turkish peoples. A.Huseynzadeh expressed theoretical-methodological ideas about Turks, Turkism, its name, language, history, and geography. In this regard, Yashar Garayev attributed the first linguistic and historical-geographical map of Azerbaijan to Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, and the linguistic and historical-geographical map of Turks to Ali Bey Huseynzadeh. “Siyasati-firusat” was the masterpiece (referred to as the “Shahname” by Y.G.) of A.Huseynzadeh, the “Grandfather of Turkism”. The book was prepared for publication by Ph.D. Ofelya Bayramli. Y.Garayev wrote his article about the book in 1996. In the four books of A.Huseynzade, the epic, history, geography, roots, and sources of the Turk and Turkism are explored. Y.Garayev called the work “Turk in Two Epics of the West” a piece written with historical and political symbols. The address and biography of Ali Bey Huseynzade reflect a life that became the memory of Islam and the history of Turkism. In the article, the concept of Y. Garayev's theoretical-ideological opinions and thoughts, their idea-content, and partially artistic (pictorial) features are clarified.
