The first marches in Azerbaijani literature

Abstract

This article has investigated the first marches that appeared in Azerbaijani literature. The emergence of the march genre in Azerbaijani literature is associated with the literary movement of romanticism. The authors of the first march in our literature were our first Romantics. M.Hadi, H.Javid, A.Javad, A.Shaig and our other poets applied to this genre and created many examples of this genre. After the establishment of the first republic in the East – the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the themes of the genre expanded in our literature, various types of marches appeared.
