Problems, features of the genre and artistic language of rap being a part of modern Azerbaijani poetry

Abstract

The attitude to rap in Azerbaijani society is notable unambiguously between the younger and older generations. Especially the fact is relevant that the older generation, in comparison with the younger generation, do not accept rap. One of the reasons why the rap is refused, is not related to the music accompanies it, but the lyrics, which is considered fault in some samples of rap, as well as rude words and expressions that are not used in literary language. Positive and critical views about rap come in the form of respect and diss. In rap, promoting positive ideas is presented as respect, and promoting negative ideas as diss. The rap is performed with the music rhythm and reflects satire, sarcasm and critical realism. Rap is a great example of art created by the synthesis of music and poetry.
