CONTEMPORARY ARDABIL LITERARY ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

Our classics considered that the task of art and literature is, first of all, to correctly show life and existence. One of the main topics of South Azerbaijani literature that created and developed against the background of historical events in recent centuries was wound of separation and longing of Azerbaijan divided into two as a result of the injustice and occupier policy of Persian and Russian rulers. This content that has been the heart-wrenching issue of every person with Azerbaijani blood in his veins for nearly 2 centuries was the main line of artistic creativity of Arabic speaking poets. The attitude of the man of letters to the art is ideally pure and high.  According to the belief of the poets, the art should show life accurately and should be the mirror of existence. It is the conscientious mission of every poet to love the homeland with a big heart and work for the freedom and progress of the people. The pain of homeland that was the common sorrow of all Southern and Northern poets was also the sorrow of poets who grew up in the literary environment of Ardabil.

The literary environment of Ardabil, a part of Azerbaijani literature has never lost its shine, but gradually has begun to shine even more strongly and always really demonstrated his talent, morals, manners, humanity, generosity, kindness, and most importantly, his tolerance as the spirit of the Azerbaijani people.
