STUDY CIRCUMSTANCE OF ALMAS ILDIRIM’S EMIGRANCY LIFE AND CREATIVITY

Abstract

The artistic heritage of Almas Ildirim who has a unique role in Azerbaijani poetry of the 20th century, had always held a paramount importance for the literary criticism and literary his­to­rio­graphy whether it is pre-emigration or emigration life. As a result of this great interest for the poet’s artistic creativity there were written articles and books volumnious or vice-versa. As a consequence of the artistic identity of the wordsmith and the variety of themes of his poetry, A.Ildirim was able to attract the interest of the literary studies of the brother country Türkiye where he had lived and created for 17 years causing the emergence of a number of studies in this direction.

In the article, the writings of scientific importance to one or another degree that deals with A.Ildirim's emigration life and poetry especially Mustafa, M.A.Rasulzadeh, A.Yurdsever, B.Nabiyev, N.Alakbarli, N.Cabbarli, A.Aras and relevant studies of other authors are reviewed and evaluated in chronological order. Regarding the importance of the aforement researches are accentuated in order to define the role of the A.Ildirim in the development of the Azerbaijani emigrant poetry, and also bringing the facts about the poet’s life into scientific circulation together with the distorted facts encountered in the studies are reported. At the same time, it is emphasized that many of the poet's poems and publisistic writings published in the periodical press, but not included in his books, as well as a number of facts about the life of the emigration period, were left out of the research.

Such a final conclusion is expressed that the inclusion of A.Ildirim's works and biographical facts that have remained out of scientific circulation will form full scientific imagination of the poet's life and literary activity in the mentioned time period.
