THE RHYME AND RADIF IN NEMATULLAH KISHWARI’S LYRIC POETRY

Abstract

Nematullah Kishwari, prominent word master of Azerbaijani poetry in the 15th century, has a special place in the history of our literature with his poems written both in Persian and in a native language. The poems in Kishwari’s diwan in a native language are selected by its poetical features. Various poetical methods of Diwan literature in poet’s poems were used with great skill. The poet achieved strengthening of his works artistically and aesthetically, the emotionality and harmony of the idea due those methods. In this regard poet’s poems attract attention with the structure of rich rhyme and radifs. Kishwari in his poems skillfully used different types of the rhyme and variety radifs for increasing the influence on human’s feeling, thought and spiritual world; and created a beautiful work of art.

The poet who created valuable examples of Diwan literature of Azerbaijan acquired to express his thoughts harmoniously in his works due to rhyme and radif he used despite the breadth of content and form. From this point of view, Kishwari did not lag behind his predecessors, turned social problems of that period and sincere feelings of love into verses in a unique poetic form; and in terms of genre and expression created valuable works.
