Abstract

Researching and evaluating the ideas and thoughts of South Azerbaijani writers regarding the future fate of the Motherland, its unity, independence and development is currently of special importance. Thus, in the recent period, the new challenges created by Azerbaijan – Iran relations are giving greater urgency to the problem. From this point of view, a look at the mentioned questions about the poet Alirza Nabdil Okhtay (1944-1972), who represents Marxist revolutionary thought among Southern writers with his life and struggle, becoming one of the legends of the Iranian left with his life and struggle, requires a separate study.

The article assesses the factors that played an important role in the development of A. N. Okhtay as a revolutionary poet from a historical and modern point of view, and also studied his views on national issues.
