ABDULLA SHAIG AND HIS BOOK “GULSHANI-ADABIYYAT”

Abstract

The rich literary heritage of Abdulla Shaig Talıbzadeh who has a unique place in the history of Azerbaijani literature of the XX century, is a clear example of his multifaceted creativity. He made an effort to fill the gap in the direction of providing our schools with national books by publishing his artistic works, which have unique merits in the development of our national ideology and with his scientific and pedagogical activities, he published beautiful literary textbook and books dedicated to the education of the people.

The presented article is about the book “Gulshani-adabiyyat” published in Persian language by Abdulla Shaig in 1910 in Baku. One of the directions of Abdulla Shaig's creativity, his translation activity is reflected in this book, which is rich in instructive stories, talks and poems.
