Huseyn Javid: a period of revolutionary uprises and changes

Abstract

The founder of the Azerbaijani romantic literary movement, Huseyn Javid, enriched our national and literary thought history with colorful themes and bright characters with his poetic tragedies and historical dramas. His plays, which reflect the artistic thought and philosophical mood of the revolutionary period, raise the most important problems of human and social life. In his plays “Sheyda”, “Peyghamber”, “Topal Teymur”, “Knyaz”, “Seyavush”, the philosopher-poet-playwright touched on the theme of revolution and revolutionary leader without ignoring political processes, and presented struggle, man and his rights, violation of rights, social injustice as a problem. In the article, we will try to shed light on Javid's revolutionary ideas and the tragedies arising from the lack of humanism in society.
