The problem of the cultural hero in Azerbaijani folklore (in the context of ancestor cult)

Abstract

In the article, the aspects that connect, bring closer and separate the cultural hero to the ancestor
cult are involved in the research. Here, our main goal is to study the behavioral models of cultural heroes
based on the primary ancestor cult, their norm-determining model in culture and to systematically investigate
it based on Azerbaijani folklore materials. Aspects that identify the cultural hero with the descendants of the
Ancestor cult are identified.
