This article presents a comprehensive artistic analysis of Ashig Alasgar’s goshma “Koyneyine,”
examining its poetic features, imagery system, and semantic layers. The study reveals that the poem consists
of three stanzas and follows the classical 11-syllable (6+5) structure characteristic of Azerbaijani goshma.
The central object of artistic depiction is the young girl’s shirt adorned with gulebetin embroidery. The poet’s focus on this element of clothing is closely linked to traditional folk notions of feminine beauty, cultural
practices, and the aesthetic significance of women’s attire in Azerbaijani heritage.
Ashig Alasgar masterfully portrays the image of the beautiful young woman and her ridecorated shirt, bringing ethnographic elements to life through poetic expression and illuminating the symbolic role of feminine
beauty in the national worldview.
