Traces of our national cuisine in Oghuznames

Abstract

We obtain certain information by reading historical sources about the history, heroism, and lineage of the Oghuz Turks mainly in the “Oghuznames”. The history of the Oghuz Turks does not end with heroism alone; in the “Oghuznames” we also find certain information about the customs, cuisine, culture, and fine arts of the Turks. Let me bring to your attention that there were different versions and authors of the Oghuznames. A question may arise as to how many Oghuznames are there? Since the Oghuznames were written by different authors at different times, the exact number is unknown. There are mainly 4-5 sources available. There are also oral versions spread among the people.
