19th century Karabakh figurative and decorative art

Abstract

The article examines the culture of Karabakh of the 19th century, its fine and decorative arts.
The variety of Karabakh carpets, embroideries, fabrics, jewelry, decorated dishes, wall and easel paintings
show the rich high artistic qualities and sophistication of Azerbaijani art. The work of the great Azerbaijani
artist, bearer of ancient and sustainable traditions of Azerbaijani monumental painting, brilliant ornamentalist, master of battle and hunting scenes - Usta Gambar Garabaghi is also considered. The drawings of the
famous Russian artist Vereshagin, made by him during his trip to Karabakh, are priceless documents on the
cultural history of Azerbaijan.
