Conflict between the ashig and the ruler in love epics

(Based on the epic “Abbas and Gulgaz”)

Abstract

The article examines the theme of the duality of the ashig and the ruler in love epics. The theme
was used in the study of the epic “Abbas and Gulgaz”. Duality and conflict in the text of the epic is one of
the artistic and poetic elements that serve to convey the idea of the epic more expressively. In the studied
epic, we observe a conflict between the ruler and the ashig of the beloved of Allah. In such a conflict,
preference is given to the ashig. Because in the presented epic, the ashig is right. He represents love and
spiritual values. As a result of the analysis, the importance that the people attach to moral values is revealed.
