a look at the topic of war from a different paradigm is the main premise of the article. Aesthetic diversity is
especially created, given to stories through artistic description and expressiveness, the individual
psychological state of the characters, and the role of poetic elements in revealing their characters.
The article provides a separate analysis of the writer’s story “One Day Before the Invasion”. In the story
written in the modernist style, the artistic essence of the work and the methods of solving the problem raised
by the writer by using new prose techniques are evaluated. The structure of the story, the sequence of plot
and composition are traced against the background of a mystical story, the synthesis of the underworld - the
world of the dead and the real world - is explored. The parallelism of modernist and realistic styles in the
story is associated with the potential of the writer and the chosen topic.
