Formation of musical culture during the Islamic Renaissance period

Abstract

In the article is dealt with the development of scientific knowledge rapidly during the Islamic Renaissance period, the pass of philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, literature and musical culture written with ancient cultural resources to history scene. The main expression of music art and its scientific resources, which started to spread in the Near and Middle East was music literature “in Arabic language” in these years. Although many creators of music theory were not of Arab origin, each of them – Al-Farabi (IX-X centuries), Al-Isfahani (X century), Safiyeddin Urmaviy (XIII century) and Al-Maraghai (XIV-XV centuries) were a prominent representatives of Islamic culture in this temple of art.

The philosophical thoughts of Islamic scholars who worked extensively in the musical field in the 10th century were accompanied by their new considerations and assumptions.
