Abstract

This work consists of an introduction, chapter, conclusion and bibliography. The first
part discusses the relationship between history and the novel, and the second part discusses the
"character of Shah Ismail" put forward by Reha Chamuroglu in his novel “Ismail”. He is known as
murshid-i kamil in history. He is the subject of novels, theater, poetry, and symposia due to these
distinctive and intriguing features that are still being discussed. Reha Chamuroglu who is known for
his historical identity and extensive research on Alawism, takes us into the world of the fifteenth
century with his novel “Ismail”.
