Russian publication about Azerbaijani prose

Abstract

This article is about the mutual enrichments and literary ties. The Russian-Azerbaijani literary rela
tionship has always been in the center of attention of literary critics from both sides. The literary
translation has undoubtedly played a great role in the development of these mutual connections.
From the point of view of linguistics, the translation from one language to the other is the peak of
speech activity which guarantees interlanguage and intercultural communications. Many Russian
writers referred to Azerbaijan with big sense of nobility and benevolence, which affected their
translation activities.
This article provides some examples from Russian writers’ creations that confirm our statements.
