The influence of the plays written in the genre of tragedy by Azerbaijani play writers staged on the stage of Tatar theaters at the beginning of the XX century to the Tatar dramaturgy

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to review the plays of Azerbaijani playwrights staged on the
stage of Tatar theaters at the beginning of the XX century. The results obtained on the basis of the
analysis of individual tragedies of Nariman Narimanov, Najaf bey Vezirov, Abdurrahim bey
Hagverdiyev show that repeated productions of translated plays by Azerbaijani playwrights on the
stage of Tatar theaters had a certain influence on the further development of Tatar drama, including
the formation of the genre of tragedy.
