Description of architectural monuments on carpets

Abstract

In the process of historical development of Azerbaijan, branches of decorative and
applied arts were also formed. Carpet weaving, a type of decorative and applied art with an ancient
history, occupies a special place in the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan. The carpet has various
functions: it creates comfort and warmth for a person, enlivens the interior, and is aesthetically
pleasing. This art form, closely related to other types of applied art, is an integral part of
architecture and interior design. We know that the art of carpet weaving originated from weaving.
Ancient people first learned to weave and make various household items from wood, tree branches,
and tree bark fibers. Carpets that decorate the floors and walls of apartments and houses are distinguished by their
storyline.
This article discusses the characteristic features of the “Seasons” carpets, which are distinguished
by a different storyline, have a complex compositional structure, glorify the wonderful colors of
nature and architectural monuments, and their use in modern architecture. Although it is believed
that carpets have lost their importance in our time, today carpets are an essential element of the
interior to create a comfortable atmosphere, and their use in the interior is always in demand.
