The classifications of artistic speech – content, analysis and practical styles of music art

In the creativity of Al-Farabi was reflected the important themes of his period; and the
field of metaphysics integrates with the concepts of god, universe, creation, existence, time and
reason– the most basic concepts of language, logic, mathematics (music), physics and philosophy;
and in the article it is mentioned that Farabi also includes the field of metaphysics in the class
(subject) of skills, abilities, arts and experiences while classifying the sciences.
The concept of “perception” (the essence of scientific knowledge) in Al-Farabi’s music studies
begins with “the content” theory of “the existence”. In his comments the art of music was explained
with the two systems – “the content” and “perception” and mathematical basis included in
philosophy. According to the master's opinion the art of music has been created by a combination of
harmonious sounds (talif al-alha’n) and the pronunciation of sounds that harmonize with each other. His thoughts about music emphasized the peculiarities of musical language – power of influence
that conquers the human heart and captures the soul and the qualities of harmony. In the creativity
of Farabi the concept “fine arts” (the art) elucidates the grace of music, but harmony (lahn)
elucidates the music and the theoretical thoughts, practices and results of this art.
The musical works of Al-Farabi are considered another peak of his logical perfection; and it is the
embodiment of exceptional artistic thoughts shaped by a scientific discipline, theoretical and
practical types of activities, basic knowledge, philosophical thoughts, regular theories made by
unity of training and thinking, perfect imaginations, conclusions reached with precise logic and
progressive searches.
