Abstract

Toponyms are special names and are considered an onomastic unit. Toponyms with place
names of Great Britain and Azerbaijan are protected and preserved in various language units,
including constant expressions. Each toponym belongs to the national culture. Toponyms preserve
the national identity of the people they belong to. Phraseological units with a toponymic component
that preserve the national culture also reflect the originality of the household style and people's life.
Also, in the research process, we see that different segments of the objective reality representing the
material and spiritual world of a person are verbalized in constant expressions with a toponymic
component.
