Abstract

Language can express the objects and things of reality known to man, subjects and
objects, quality and quantity, as well as various relationships. In most languages, a certain system of
relations is expressed in the language by means of grammatical categories. There are different
approaches to defining the grammatical categories of a language. However, the most applicable
approach involves establishing a relational paradigm and confronting its elements.
Tat language is one of the Iranian languages and is a language that is spread in different areas and
has different dialects. Various studies have been conducted around this language, its lexicon and
grammar have been studied at a certain level. However, studies on the grammar of the Tat language,
especially on its grammatical categories, including the nominal grammatical category of the
possession, are almost non-existent. If some studies provide information about the means of
expression of possession, this problem remains relevant for the Tat language. In the article, theĀ  expression of the relation of possession in the Tat language has been studied by means of personal
pronouns, enclitic pronouns, reflexive pronouns and izafat combinations.
