The study of the main stages of Russian classical literature in Azerbaijan

The article, in a brief overview form, outlines three main stages in the scientific study of
Russian classical literature in Azerbaijan: 20-40s of the twentieth century; 50-80s of the twentieth
century; 90s of the 20th century and beginning of the 21st century. Each of these stages has its own
characteristics, the specifics of choosing certain writers for study. The research perspective is
determined by historical, social, ideological, ideological and aesthetic factors.Chronological
boundaries are outlined and a brief description of each stage is given, the most fundamental studies
of Azerbaijani literary scholars and critics on the work of individual Russian writers of the 19th
century are named, and their contribution to the study of Russian literature is emphasized.
