Traditional motives of love lyrics in 20th century Azerbaijani poetry

Among the traditional themes of literature, the praise of glory and love occupies a special
place. From the first examples of classical diwan literature to modern artistic examples, the motif of
love runs through all the works with a red line. Philosophical poets have worked with all aspects of
love, which they explain as the reason for the creation of the world and human, and in different
illustrative stories, colorful plots and stories and they have shown its influence to his human life,
upbringing, etc.
When talking about the traditions of Azerbaijani poetry and lyric poetry, doubtless cannot avoid the
topic of affection and love that is used the most. Because there is a continuous, strong tradition of
love lyrics in our poetry. The basis of this tradition was created in classical poetry: in Nizami
Ganjavi's “Khamsa”, in his lyrical poems that have come down to us, even though they are few in
number, in the works of Imadaddin Nasimi, Shah Ismayil Khatai, and finally, in Muhammad Fuzuli's “Leyli and Majnun”, who said, “Love is everything in the world.” and in the ghazals on his

lived and developed them in their works. During the research was used the historical-comparative
