In the article it is dealt with the origin history of the Society of “Union and Progress”.
The role of Ali bey Huseynzade, one of the first founders and ideologue of this society is analyzed
on the basis of historical documents and evidences. At the beginning of the 20th century,
controversial points, Turkish unity factor, the works about Turkism written by Ali bey Huseynzade,
his merits in the development of the ideology of Turanism are summarized through the works of
various thinkers.
