Molla Panah Vagif and a word on Vagif’s Poetry Days

Abstract

The tumultuous life, rich creativity and statehood activity of Molla Panah Vagif,
prominent Azerbaijani poet and famous statesman creates a special stage in the development of
national literature and in the history of our country. Molla Panah Vagif entered Azerbaijani
literature as an innovator, or rather a reformer. Owing to Molla panah Vagif happened a transition
from centuries-old classical romantic lyrical traditions to a new type of realistic poetry. Vagif’s rich
heritage was new in terms of measure, genre, language and style of Azerbaijani literature and means
of artistic description and caused to the creation of a different direction in our literary history.
The return to the creativity of Molla Panah Vagif is an event of Great Return to the study of the life
and creativity of our outstanding personalities in the field of science and literature in the light of
Azerbaijanism ideals.In the article is dealt with the creativity of Vagif as well as holding the Vagif’s Poetry Days again in
his homeland - in Shusha, our cultural capital, in front of the museum-mausoleum complex of
Molla Panah Vagif, which was reconstructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
